HTC Surround and Others are Scheduled to Get NoDo

Microsoft is inching closer to getting every Windows Phone the NoDo update a reality with this weeks update from Eric Hautala on the Windows Phone Blog. The HTC Surround was the one phone left off the previous At&t update cycle for reasons unknown, but it shouldn’t be too much longer as the Where’s My Update? page has been updated to include a “Scheduling” status for the Surround and also for Deutsche Telekom and Optus users. Here’s the official word:

We’re now scheduling the February and March updates for the HTC Surround on AT&T and for customers of Deutsche Telekom in Europe. We’re also scheduling the March update for Optus customers in Australia.

Judging by the Where’s My Update? page, that leaves Telstra and Telefonica as the only remaining carriers to be left in the “Testing” phase. Hopefully the Windows Phone team can quickly get the last of the users updated and move to the next chapter of Windows Phone…the Mango update.
