Yesterday on the Windows Phone Developer Blog, it was unveiled that a web version of the Windows Phone Marketplace was coming soon for users. The blog was updated today with a little more information and a screenshot of what we can expect from the web marketplace once it launches.
The web Marketplace will give Windows Phone users yet another avenue to browse, buy and download games and apps for their Windows Phone. Purchases on the web Marketplace will be charged to the users credit card that is linked to their account. The web Marketplace will also keep the users app download history, making it easier to reinstall apps if need be. Being tied in with Bing’s visual search, the Marketplace should also allow for greater app discovery.
