Microsoft Testing Zune Music & Podcast Marketplace for Australian Users

Long Zheng has posted on his tech blog istartedsomething.com that Microsoft has begun doing tests for users who have their region set to Australia or have an Australian Live ID. The beta Zune PC software v4.8 is now showing a “Music” tab for certain users and is showing a sample collection of songs for 129 MS Points (AUD$2.13) and albums, capped per song,  at 1299 MS Points (AUD$21.43).

The post was also updated a bit later to include the “Podcast” tab now as well. We’ve heard that Microsoft was planning on rolling out more services to more areas around the world very soon and this seems to be a good start.
