SkyDrive Music Streaming Confirmed in Mango (7712)

One of the features that the upcoming iCloud service for Apple products had over Microsoft’s Windows Phone was the ability to stream music sync music via the cloud storage provided in SkyDrive. in the past, you could store music in your SkyDrive account, but the phone was unable to stream that music. I haven’t had a chance to test out this new and unexpected feature, but many are reporting that the ability to stream music files stored in your SkyDrive account can be accessed directly on phones with the latest build (7712). It is noted that the experience comes through the Office hub and is kind of clunky, but keep in mind that this is a much-requested feature and Microsoft is still a build or two ahead of the one we are currently enjoying, so things could change in the final release for Mango. Update: As Okung Nyo notes in the comments, iCloud doesn’t actually stream music. It instead syncs and matches music (depending on the service) from the cloud across all your devices.
