Microsoft Brings Free Xbox LIVE Sudoku and Minesweeper to Windows Phone

WPCentral is reporting today that Microsoft has plans to bring free Bing ad-supported versions of Sudoku and Minesweeper to Windows Phone and both are Xbox LIVE-enabled titles. Both titles are similar in their Metro UI style and both feature panorama menus.

Bing ads will be present within the games to make them free for Windows Phone. WPCentral also notes that each game will have in-app purchases of some sort of Beards and Beaks-like token system for powerups.

Both titles are clean and really stick to the Metro UI and are expected to become available for the platform on August 10th of next week.

  1. So for WP7, can ad-supported games be played offline (i.e. without 3G data or WiFi)? I’m aware Android yes, Symbian no… any idea about WP7?
